Frankenstein is a stark, larger-than-life and remarkable theatrical adaptation of Mary Shelley’s classic novel. Adapted and directed by award-winning playwright Christine Davey, the production is presented by award-winning regional theatre company – Skin of our Teeth Productions. Following in the footsteps of SooT’s productions of My Brilliant Career and Jane Eyre, Frankenstein explores the journey of a scientist determined to test the boundaries of life and death. The creature he creates is not as tameable as he thought. This all-female cast recalibrates the story into a 21st century perspective, complete with song, movement and image. Frankenstein is on the VCE drama list for 2023. Frankenstein is a heightened, funny, grotesque vision of love, power, revenge and retribution.
