Editor (reply after reading manuscript): Not only sex and death but God too … Had me chuckling at regular intervals (though NOT with regards to the killing of the chooks).
Writer (email reply): Yes, the poor chooks … Still, I think there are a few laughs there. Just depends on the way it’s done. I do want it to sound as real as possible.
Editor (email reply): For someone who says he’s a vegetarian, there’s no evidence here of that … Good luck with sending it out into the world.
