Playreading: Kookaburra Players Present

The Players, a struggling local amateur theatre group, are in rehearsal for the play, The Boat Race, a modest horse racing tale with a happy ending. A young actress has doubts about the conduct of a colleague, also the President of the group. Serious allegations are made. The Boat Race does not end happily. Just ordinary folk putting on a show – not an Oscar or red carpet among them – but nonetheless each is compelled to examine the nature of moral courage.
