Are you into pasta play?
Since being dumped by someone she forced herself to like, (the worst kind of heartbreak) HER hasn’t been able to do anything but eat pasta…even though she’s allergic to gluten.
No one wants to hear her problems anymore, so she’s turned to you, the audience. But as your evening together progresses, it becomes clear that her relationship with pasta isn’t that different from that with her ex – hot, one-sided, and giving her a tummy ache.
While her and pasta are initially in the honeymoon phase, it’s not long until they have their first big fight. Whether it’s reenacting soap operas, creating 2003 pasta infomercials or hallucinating dancing spaghetti – PASTABATE blends theatrical realism with a camp spectacle.
Pasta can’t solve your problems. But fuck me, it’s worth a try.
Pastabate will also be livestreamed on Friday Jun 7, 7.30pm. Livestream playback will be available for 72 hours after the show.
