Bigger than Jesus. Greater than God.

Celebrity is a new solo work stylised as a lecture-performance combined with a filmic character narrative. It is an investigation targeting the Westernised phenomenon of celebrity, the paradox of celebrity addiction and the pandemic of celebrity worship. A potentially controversial dark comedy, it draws a wide, glittery blurred line between the factual, the fictional and the godly to examine what the existence of celebrity serves and what it dominates. Celebrity is unapologetic, charismatic, and uncensored.

“Stevie is disciplined, tightly imagined, engaging and poetic.” – Ruth Richter, Stage Whispers, 2022
“Suzie is a great performer. She can cast a spell and draw you in. You can feel her pain. Any actor who can hold their own in a solo show has my complete admiration.” – Grant Virtue, Theatre Travels, 2019
