‘Home’ is an augmented reality experience, presenting a series of photographed miniature houses that are abandoned and near demolition. Using a mobile device, participants engage with the still image to view what lies beneath the house exterior. The series exposes family memories lived inside, secrets hidden with time and what the future holds for these homes.
Artist Lucy Davidson hand crafts the miniature houses inspired by local Melbourne homes soon to be demolished. Through stop-motion animation she gives each a house unique performance, offering a glimpse into the home’s past and future.
