The event that is Maude Davey. Just like a three day bush doof. Only longer.

Freewheeling down unreliable dreamscapes – limestone cliffs and sand so much sand on legs and feet and we jumped off the bridge into the river – is that a memory or a fantasy? Does it matter when it’s all gone anyway, the water and the children and the shiny orange dragstar.

A memoir, a reflection, an assemblage of selves that might make sense of the world that is through the prism of the world that’s gone. Who am I if all I was is gone?

A sequence not an object, a series not a movie, a lot of beginnings with no endings. “Oh you never finish plays” says Peta Murray, “you just abandon them”.  A narcissistic phenomenological reimagining of the subject.
