A Romanian translation of a play that investigates the tumultuous lives of Ted Hughes, Sylvia Plath and Assia Wevill, through the eyes of a mysterious girl. A story that is global in reach and a Romanian translation that carefully preserves the play’s multilingual richness.
At the core of the play there is a magic, surrealist temporality, a theme that is dear to Romanian psyche.
The event consists of a film that captures excerpts from the play, performed in Romanian, followed by a live discussion of the play and a Q&A session with the audience.
The excerpts are filmed at the Vasile Alecsandri Theatre, Iaşi, Romania. The ensuing discussion and the Q&A session will be conducted in English and Romanian.
