A rebellious celebration of mental health reclamation by an outlier defying the rules of theatre.
Pam is a 67 year-old first-time performer and red-cordial-level extrovert, with a bunch of mental health diagnoses. Like Pam, this deconstructed theatre experiment is a micro-rebellion challenging what it means to be ‘in order.’ It is about reclaiming your trauma and owning who you are, no matter your age or brain functioning.
Exploring themes of sexual abuse, suicide, ageism, medical mayhem, and late-blooming sexuality, Dys-Order-Ed is an autobiographical rollercoaster where pretty much anything could happen! Think tear-soaked comedy confessional, neurospicy narratives and spiritual enlightenment via pass-the-parcel, with a strong dose of choose-your-own-adventure ADHD antics.
Directed by multi-award-winning artist, Andi Snelling.
Dys-Order-Ed will also be livestreamed on Friday, Oct 4, 7.30pm. Livestream tickets are available for 72 hours after the show.
