Long-term friends Sunni and Sunday question the truth of their shared life after tragedy strikes.
From discovering masturbation and the Dolly Doctor sealed section, to bullying and heartbreak, Sunni and Sunday have been one another’s true constants for as long as they can remember. In the lead up to Sunni’s 30th birthday, they recount and relive their long-term friendship. But when tragedy strikes, both begin to question their shared life: Was it fact, fiction, or merely the story they told themselves?
An ode to the enduring nature of platonic love, Sunni Sunday explores what happens when reality blurs and even your best friend can’t bring you back.
