CALL OUT: Midsumma at La Mama 2021

Do you have an idea, script or a work in development? Would you like to be part of Midsumma 2021 at La Mama Theatre?

There is no template for submitting an application. Tell us everything you know about what you want to do, how and why, and why you think that La Mama is the best place for it. Send us scripts, images, sketches, whatever you have that might help us get as excited as you are about your proposal. Please also include information about ideal performance dates and any dates that are not possible (between Jan 17 – Feb 7 2021), as well as letting us know the best way to contact you, and whether you have a team in mind with whom you would like to bring your ideas to the stage, or if you are looking for one.

WHAT’S the deal

La Mama will administrate all Midsumma registrations

Provide marketing, front of house and tech support

Provide a modest production budget

An 80/20 door split (80% of ticket sales go to the artists)

Auspice any grants you apply for

Provide a nurturing environment for you to take risk and grow in your practice.
