A new work by women in their 60s about women in their 90s

here it is then – the biggest thing/I am a stick/all bone and no substance, all sinew and no muscle/I don’t seem to feel anything at all/all paper skin, dried and desiccated/that’s good – a relief of sorts/and oh the relief/after all that struggle/no more straining to stay/one breath after another/no more leaning to love/etc/no more gasping/etc/gasping for breath/etc
