MILKE is an independent producing company established in 2008 based in Melbourne, Australia.  Owned and operated by Laura Milke Garner. We work with artists and collectives across theatre, comedy, and cabaret within fringe and major performing arts festivals and tour work nationally and internationally including – Sydney Opera House, Brisbane Powerhouse, Malthouse Theatre, Melbourne Theatre Company, Sydney Festival, Darwin Festival, SOHO London, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Venice Biennale, Brisbane Festival, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Adelaide Cabaret Festival, RISING, The Arts Centre, Melbourne Fringe Festival, La Mama and the Adelaide Fringe Festival.  

We also provide producer mentorship for independent artists and producers to improve their budgeting, marketing, pitching, and touring skills and have a range of online courses and industry workshops. MILKE is the Program Producer for the Malthouse Theatre in Melbourne, programming the Comedy Festival season and Malthouse Outdoor Stage. 


Kath Papas 

Kath Papas has developed a highly respected producing practice of diverse aesthetics, cross-cultural exchange & collaboration over two decades in the arts, and grounds her practice in Australia’s geographic location within the Asia-Pacific. Through her company Kath Papas Productions (KPP), she works collaboratively with a group of outstanding established artists, collectives and companies to develop, present and mobilise new work. Kath worked with APAM and ILBIJERRI Theatre Company 2019-2023, mentoring emerging First Nations producers in international engagement and helping deliver APAM’s First Nations programs. She is also currently Senior Producer VIC for Performing Lines, Nov 2023 to Nov 2024.
