In A Heartbeat

Life moves so fast, and at the same time so slowly. In a Heartbeat is a meditation on time, impermanence and mortality created through a dialogue spanning generations. Five performers, five tea-party settings and five performances taking place simultaneously.

In a Heartbeat is a new work of verbatim theatre created by Barking Spider Visual Theatre. In a Heartbeat is an immersive and playful experience for audiences. It is compelling, beautiful, delightful and moving – and delicious!

We feel the emotion and the drama and we ‘oohh’ and ‘aahh’ in all the right places

– Michael Brindley, Stage Whispers

The mood in the audience as we heard these stories went from a room full of strangers to a connected mind, and after the show when you were free to roam through the set we were chatting as if we were old friends.

– Myron My, Theatre Press
