As told by the boys who fed me apples

Sandy was the only one of 136,000 Australian WW1 warhorses to return home. Sandy’s fragmented war story is told through physical performance which crosses over with an visceral, poetic text and a haunting, original sound design. Supported by the Australian Government’s Anzac Centenary Arts & Culture Fund 2015, premiered Big West Festival 2015 Nominated for a 2016 AWGIE.

As told by the boys who fed me apples may not have the big budget or the epic scale of War Horse but it is certainly a testament to the incredible storytelling capabilities of independent theatre-makers in this country.” – Theatre People
