The Owl’s Apprentice

Be enchanted by this shadow puppet show about Poot Poot, a young owl who, under the guidance of Mr Tawny, is learning to become wise. From Owl School, to the forest, to the city he learns many things- but will he pass the final test? Come with him on his journey, brought to life by Jenny Ellis, a puppeteer for over 15 years.

Jenny has a Post-Graduate Diploma in Puppetry from the Victorian College of the Arts and has performed and taught workshops in every state and territory in Australia. As Artistic Director of Company Gongoma, their show ‘The Mermaid’s Daughter’ won the Melbourne Fringe Festival Award for The Best School Holiday Program 2008. She has performed to over 30,000 school children across Australia.
