Ad Nauseam

A NIGHT OF INFIDELITY

March 21 – April 1

‘Cause tonight there’ll be a fire or a flood, or something, and I know that it’s going to bury me and it won’t just be up to my knees.’

A stunningly performed and fully scored journey through a night of impulse, Ad Nauseam is a fractured celebration of excess, egoism and regret. Fresh from their jam packed sellout season of 2011, Attic Erratic hits La Mama Courthouse hot on the heels of their Adelaide Fringe season, with a remount of the highly acclaimed Ad Nauseam: A Night of Infidelity. Ad Nauseam is rhythmic sorcery; a deeply mesmerising monologue following one man’s journey through the streets and bars of an unkind city and into the dark recesses of his desire.

And with the night around my neck like a noose, I fell from the rooftop past the windows
and landed on my knees at her feet,

And then, waking up in the arms of an angel, with a sword hanging above my head.

★★★★★  “… an outstanding, evocative piece of theatre, which totally throttles your understanding of what a one-man show is supposed to look like”
- Kelly Mildenhall, Theatre Guide

“Be prepared to engage with Ad Nauseam head-on. It persist with its intensity, like a William Burroughs novel, but there’s great beauty in its violence.”
- Simon Eales, Australian Stage
