La Mama Aesoterica is a new program of explorations in hybrid, electronic and new media performance works.
The La Mama Aesoterica program begins with Siilt, dusty voltage controlled atmospheres created by Melbourne musician/producer Skye Klein of Terminal Sound System, HALO and Tether. Skye is a musician, composer, producer and sound artist who has worked on and released music and sound in a wide variety of styles ranging from ambient soundscapes to instrumental rock and free jazz, leftfield hip-hop to avant-metal and melodic electronica. Recent projects include as composer, performer and producer.
Performed on the set of Schism and Cogito and drawing on themes from the two works, Siilt will transform the Courthouse with soundscapes comprising of self-running modular synthesis patches and snippets of looped electric guitar.
