La Mama Archives
La Mama boasts an incredible library of materials (in multiple formats) that document the work presented at the theatre since 1967. This represents a significant collection of cultural materials that may be accessed by academics and students of Australian theatre, writers, theatre historians and the media. La Mama has established an ongoing relationship with the National Library in Canberra, the Arts Centre (Performing Arts Collection and Research Service) and University of Melbourne Archives to assist with the cataloguing and preservation of the collection. La Mama employs a Preservation Coordinator, Fiona Wiseman, to catalogue and curate this unique collection. To assist her in this process, La Mama received the first instalment of $3,500 from the Community Heritage Grants programme from the National Library in 2008.
