Intern – Mathilde Broudic
Mathilde moved to Melbourne in September 2016 from the city of Rennes in France. She has been learning acting and theatre history since she was a child but these last few years, her approach of performing arts has been greatly influenced by contemporary circus and troups such as Archaos, Cirque Plume or Cirkus Cirkör.
She wishes that, back in France, she could help this genre to catch a larger audience and find more public funds. For the time being she is still studying political science and has just graduated with a BA in literature.
She chose La Mama for her third year internship, seduced by its commitment to produce innovative and inclusive theatre. She is really happy and excited to be here until April and hopes she’ll be able to help this amazing place going on.
