Adam J. Cass

General Representative of La Mama’s committee of Management since 2012, Adam has worked with La Mama as a writer, director and performer for more then a decade.

Adam has written close to forty plays, which have been staged in Melbourne, interstate and overseas, and is best known for his work I love you bro which was produced around the world after debuting at the Melbourne Fringe Festival in 2007. Adam won the Melbourne Dramatists Emerging Writer Award, was nominated for the 2007 Green Room Award for Best New Australian writing, and has been nominated for the 2010 Matilda Award for Best Mainstage Production (La Boite).

Adam is also a member of the Green Room Awards Independent Theatre Judging Panel and currently Creative Producer and Project Facilitator at Platform Youth Theatre. Recently a writer in residence for Red Stitch Actors Theatre, Adam has worked with tem to create Behind Closed Doors, performed in several venues across Australia.
