World Premiere! David Williamson returns to his La Mama roots with a black comedy in the tradition of his early hits such as The Removalist. CREDENTIALS takes a darkly comic look at the widening gulf between those Australians born into security, opportunity and education, and those who have to fight for their life to get any of those things. Chrissie is a paramedic who loves her job and is good at it. When her boss, Stephen, discovers that she faked her credentials to become an ‘ambo’, she faces losing the one thing she lives for. Her attempt to explain herself takes Stephen – and us – through her chaotic, painful but hard-fought past, and challenges Stephen to see Chrissie in a different light, and to reassess his own daughter’s struggle to find herself.
