JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH
Jules Verne’s classic story enacted through puppetry, mime, miniature worlds, special suitcases, unique umbrellas and an erupting volcano!
When young Axel discovers a tunnel descending through a volcano, his eccentric uncle Professor Lidenbrock launches an expedition accompanied by Hans, an Icelandic giant and Gertrude, his intrepid duck. Together they travel through claustrophobic caves, battle fierce monsters and sail through storms and whirlpools. Can they reach the centre of the Earth? Can they return?
Performed to rave reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe, Mark Penzak has toured this production throughout Scotland, England, Ireland and Australia. A truly captivating piece of children’s theatre that appeals to that sense of adventure in all of us. Suitable for kids 4+. www.markpenzak.com
