REHEARSAL FOR DEATH (AN ODE TO FRANCESCA)
In this physical theatre piece, two bodies negotiate self-portraiture, identity and death. Using movement and dance, the impermanence of life is explored, and the notion of inevitable decay is savoured. Through an exploration of what goes into a photograph, questions are posed: can an artist preserve herself through self-portraiture? Or is a photograph a haunting reminder of what is no longer?
