Pillow Talk is a piece of highly collaborative, devised theatre that seeks to explore the private and personal ways in which women discuss their experience of patriarchal violence. There are nuances that exist within the conversations had between women that sometimes get lost when the same topics are discussed in a public forum. Through poetry, physical theatre, verbatim theatre, film, music and original writing the show aims to convey the intimacy and honesty that characterise these interactions. Pillow Talk attempts to explore the ways in which smaller, quieter moments of resistance can be more powerful than grand statements and gestures.
